Fashion trends from hell

Femina

Velour tracksuits
Paris Hilton made these popular a few years ago and we’re still reeling from the shock. The only thing uglier than velour tracksuits are those embellished with rhinestones. Wear them only if you’re planning to get into bed and are safely out of public view.

Harem pants
They’re airy and comfortable but carrying off harem pants isn’t everyone’s cup of tea. Unless you’re rapper MC Hammer, this fashion trend is best left in the pages of
The Arabian Nights.

High-waisted shorts

They were all the rage in 2012 and were spotted on celebs like Blake Lively, Emma Roberts and Miley Cyrus. Only those blessed with tiny waists and fabulously flat abs can carry off this trend and we’re not ready to go on a maple syrup diet just yet.

Bubble skirt

In a poll conducted in the UK in 2012, this was voted as one of the biggest fashion faux pas of all time, and with good reason. All that extra fabric in a bubble skirt just makes you look big and frumpy. This trend should just go back to the decade it first emerged – in the 50s – and just stay there.

Shoulder pads

A big trend in the 80s, shoulder pads were made famous by Joan Collins as Alexis Carrington in the soap
Dynasty. They accentuated the upper part of the body so that waist looked tiny. We’re sure there are better ways for a smaller waist – exercise, for instance.
