A Man’s Guide To Wearing Eyeglasses

Vision correction glasses are easy to spot today, with many people either suffering from vision issues or wearing glasses as a fashion accessory. However, making a good choice while buying your eyeglass is a difficult task to accomplish. You might end up buying a glass that may not suit you at all. In any store, there is an array of choices available for you. Here are a few tips that would guide you to choose only the perfect one:

The Frame Type

It is highly recommended that you know what material the frame of an eyepiece is made of. Most frames you find in the market are made of either metal or plastic. If you are someone who is allergic to various substances, frames made of titanium or stainless steel should suit you well. And if you are bothered by the marks on your nose due to eyeglass, you can buy nose pads.

Lens Type

Though fibre lenses are recommended for all types, they are thicker than glass lenses. You might give an impression of a person with weaker eyesight than what you originally have. Nothing wrong with that, unless you feel embarrassed. Moreover, if you prefer thinner lenses, you should opt for glass lenses. However, there are two advantages of fibre lenses over the glass lenses. Firstly, they do not break easily, even if you drop them from a height of 7 feet, which is not quite the case with glass lenses. The other advantage is that the fibre lenses are much lighter than the glass lenses.

Glasses According To Your Face Shape

If you have a face with approximately equal height and breadth, with cheeks that have curvy ends, you should go for frames with rectangular shape. The more inward the edges of the lenses are, the better it will look on you. Unlike your face, the corners of the lens should be squared off. For square-shaped faces, rounded lens would look the best. The frame should be thick enough though. If you happen to be someone with an oval face, you need not worry much about the shape of your glasses. Most shapes would look good on you.

Choose the Right Colour

The safest bet would be frames in a black colour. It would suit you if you are a suit-and-tie man, and it will suit you if you are ‘funky’ too. For men with no specific ‘type’, any colour can look good. Red combined with black looks great on men and the same can be said about blue combined with black. You can even go experimental and try brighter colours!

Having mentioned all the essentials, it depends entirely on you what you choose when trying out glasses of all shapes, sizes and colour. You will be shelling out a lot of bucks, so make sure you invest a lot of time as well while making your choice.
