How to get the wet look French twist
A variation of the wet look was also seen in the Nina Ricci spring / summer 2013 show at Paris fashion week. A wet look with a twist – literally – it’s perfect not just for the runway but for everyday. Created by Redken creative consultant Guido Palau, this wet look was made to be worn by any woman and it can be easily recreated.
Prep damp hair by putting on some mousse to create volume. Work it from the ends to the roots using your fingers and then comb it through using a natural brush.
Next, dry your hair using a blow dryer and a diffuser. Use your fingers to lift your hair on the roots as you dry your hair to prevent it from flattening out.
Now it’s time to create that twist. From the nape, gather your hair and twist it going upwards. Tuck the ends under the twist you created – you can use an end of a tail comb for this – and then secure with bobby pins.
